This two-day course will provide a comprehensive overview on recent advances in the management of individuals with Parkinson's disease (PD), Alzheimer's disease (AD), multiple sclerosis (MS), and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
This course will review and discuss recent advances related to management of individuals who have PD, AD, MS, and ALS and will analyze the implications of current advances of management of these individuals in physical and occupational therapy.

This two-day course will focus on therapeutic management of stroke survivors and address the latest research and clinical advances that have impacted the functional improvement following rehabilitation of individual with stroke. The concepts and principles of this intermediate to advance-level course will enhance the clinician’s knowledge base and hands-on skills through lecture, case studies, videotape presentations and lab sessions.

This two-day course will provide a comprehensive overview of the therapeutic management of patients with cardiovascular disease that are especially applicable in the field of both physical therapy and occupational therapy.
This course will review the physiology as well as pathophysiology of the cardiovascular system and exercise physiology concepts. Instruction will focus on the management of patients with coronary artery disease, hypertension, congestive heart failure, valvular heart disease, pacemakers, peripheral arterial disease, venous disease, and pulmonary embolism.
The concepts and principles of this course will enhance the participant's knowledge and clinical skills through lecture, case studies, videotape presentations, and demonstration/practice. Emphasis will be placed on practical methods for evaluation, clinical decision making process and effective treatment strategies using appropriate exercise. Evidence based information on a variety of therapeutic approaches will be discussed that will provide a foundation from which appropriate decision can be made with regard to patient needs.

This two-day course will provide a comprehensive overview of the therapeutic management of patients with obstructive and/or restrictive pulmonary disease that are especially applicable to physical and occupational therapists. This course will review normal pulmonary anatomy and physiology as well as pulmonary pathophysiology. Instruction will focus on management of patients with chronic bronchitis, emphysema, asthma, exercise-induced bronchoconstriction, bronchiectasis, atelectasis, pneumonia, pulmonary fibrosis, pneumothorax and respiratory failure. The concepts and principles included in this course will enhance the participant’s knowledge and clinical skills through lecture, case discussions, and demonstration/practice. Emphasis will be placed on practical methods for examination, clinical decision making, and effective treatment strategies including exercise prescription. Evidence-based information a variety of therapeutic approaches will be discussed that will provide a foundation from which appropriate decisions can be made regarding patient needs.
